The DV-US1 USB-to-Serial Adapter lead enables the Sprite® media players to be controlled from a Windows PC or laptop running any common Serial / RS232 communications software, including Sprite Serial Control - exclusively from Garland Digital.
The DV-US1 uses the Silicon Labs CP2102 chip for full compatibility and driver support under Windows 11, 10 and earlier, MacOS X and Linux operating systems.
Simply plug the DV-US1 into any USB port of a PC, install the driver (see link below), and the other end into the Sprite's I/O port, launch the communications software and select the detected COM port and speed to match the Sprite's default of 9600 baud. Maximum speed: 115,200 baud.
